Twitter

I just started using twitter. It’s a fun little diversion during boring tasks. But I logged on this am to see some of my twits (anyone else want to call them twats?) and I saw this message. Maybe it’s the developer in me, but I would think that they would have their resource issues ironed out by now. ah Well

Ok, so my Kindle is broken and I need to read. So, after searching my Amazon wish list and looking at all of the things that I won’t purchase because I know that they are available in Kindle format or will soon be available for the Kindle.  I decide to hit the library web site, you know what you used to do BEFORE the Kindle (when you didn’t want to pay full price).

Recently, I contacted a few publishers about their plans for getting books that I want on Kindle format. The responses were less than pleasing.  I had one publisher say that they were researching publishing in Kindle format and all of the others that bothered to respond indicated that they had no plans to publish in that format.  With the notable exception of Samhain Publishing, they sent a lovely response and indicated all of their releases are coming out in Kindle format.

I admit these are smaller publishing houses, but if you are a smaller publisher wouldn’t you want to reach a wider audience? I would think that would be a good thing. But I know nothing about the publishing industry and most days I can’t even construct a proper sentence unless it ends with a ; (C# programming humor).

I just want it all and I want it NOW…. whine whine whine.
