If you are not receiving your items on your kindle here are a couple of things to try:
- Try the “Check for New Items” pick in the menu. I personally have never had luck with this option…
- Check your Download Queue on www.amazon.com, to make sure that you did indeed purchase the book
- Make sure your wireless switch is in the “ON” position
- Make sure you have a fully charged battery, if the battery gets too low then it will not connect
- On the home screen follow these steps (What this does is a software rest and the Kindle goes through additional protocols that are not performed by using the On/Off switch)
- In the main menu pick settings
- after the settings page loads click the menu button again and choose restart
- Wait for the Kindle to reboot and the Wireless to start up
- Flip the Kindle over remove the gray cover and do a hard reboot by sticking a pin or paperclip in the tiny hole
- Contact Amazon, their reps are quite nice.

please let me know if this is the wrong place to post this –
hi – i run an amazon kindle blog theKindle.wordpress.com and viewership has been climbing steadily and I’m actually launching a social network for kindle owners and book lovers.
We’re in pre-Alpha right now with the Alpha Release on 21st July (we’ll also be moving to a more book friendly url).
Would appreciate it if you could join and give some feedback.
