The Black Dragon is the second in the Dragon series by Allyson James (cover and Amazon description below) I finished The Black Dragon last night. I had a very hard time getting to the end. I can honestly say that I can’t remember the last 1/3 of the book, the first 1/2 was ok, serious Brain Candy, but entertaining. But by the time that I got past some invisible marker, it seemed like my senses were on overload…too much He-Man chest beating, too much referencing events that happened in the first book. It was hard for me because I really wanted to like the book. I love reading a series of books to see what happens to others in the universe. I liked the first book, although I think it fell into the Entertaining category because I only read it once. This book just did not do it for me, so it rates
a Ho-Humm.
Book Description Scorching new romance from the author of Dragon Heat. When Saba Watanabe is attacked by white dragons in human form on the streets of San Francisco, the only man she can turn to for help is the dangerously seductive Malcolm, a black dragon who once made Saba his love slave. But it’s Saba who must use her rising powers to save Malcolm-and all of his kind.
Cover: It’s got some serious man-titty going on there, not bad to look at but when you scroll up to the face there is something off. I think it’s the coloring of the eyes/eyebrows. Ironically, the cover reflects that the story is all about him!
